Video: “Funny or Die” Tom Brady’s Wicked Accent

In this “Funny or Die” video, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady goes into a sporting goods store in California where the employee continues to make fun of his “Boston” accent.

I came across this video and wanted to pass it along to Patriots Nation! Definitely a good laugh, check it out!

Welker Signs His Franchise Tender

On Tuesday afternoon Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe first reported New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker has signed his franchise tender.

Welker signing his tender would guarantee him $9.5 million over the next season.

The Patriots wide out also tweeted,¬†@WesWelker: “I signed my tender today. I love the game and I love my teammates! Hopefully doing the right thing gets the right results.”

If the Pats wanted to trade him – which probably would happen quickly after the tender is signed – this would be the first step in the process, although I do not think the team will go that route.

I believe a long term deal is still in the works and hopefully, a fair contract for both sides will be reached as soon as possible. To this point, I think both sides have handled the situation the right way and I would expect a resolution in the near future.

In other news, the Patriots announced¬†they have released quarterback Mike Hartline, who was signed by the Patriots on Jan. 12 to a future contract. The team also¬†announced the signing of second-round draft choice Tavon Wilson.¬†Wilson is the first of the team’s seven draft choices to sign a contract.

Patriots Officially Re-Sign Warren, Underwood Released

The New England Patriots have re-signed veteran defensive lineman Gerard Warren, the team announced on Thursday. In addition, the Patriots have released wide receiver Tiquan Underwood according to his agent.

Warren played sparingly last year, mainly as a reserve defensive lineman for the Patriots. The 6-foot-4, 330 pound Warren played in 12 games and gives the team solid veteran depth along the defensive front. After not addressing the interior of the line through the draft this past weekend, re-signing Warren seems like a smart move for New England.

Underwood played in six games for the Patriots last season. The 25-year-old hauled in three receptions for 30 yards. The release does not come at a surprise as the Patriots will reported ink former Redskins receiver Jabar Gaffney to a two-year deal in the coming days.

Gaffney To Sign With New England on Two-Year Deal

The New England Patriots will reportedly sign wide receiver Jabar Gaffney, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

The deal is reportedly a two-year deal, although financial details have not yet been disclosed.¬†Gaffney, who was released by the Washington Redskins earlier this week, would add yet another veteran pass catcher to the New England’s arsenal.

The 31-year-old receiver had his best career season in 2011, hauling in 68 catches for 947 yards and five touchdowns.
