The left shoulder issue, believed to be injured late in the week 16 match up against the Miami Dolphins, has bothered Brady for several weeks. He was the only player not at practice.
The Patriots had 14 players limited in today's practice, including Aaron Hernandez (concussion), Logan Mankins (knee) and Wes Welker (knee).

Analysis:
Even though it's never a good thing when your start quarterback is not at practice, do not go overboard. We all know Brady will bring his best this Sunday and there is more than likely an understandable reason he was absent Wednesday.
Good news for Matthew Slater, Kyle Arrington and center Dan Connolly, however, as they were all listed as full participants after being limited in practice last week. All will play a role for this team in every phase of the game.
Also great to see tight end Aaron Hernandez participating in practice. For more on the TE, read my post from earlier.
One of the more exciting aspects of last week's game was how fresh, healthy and energized the Patriots looked. Hopefully, the team is just being cautionary and the same aspect is visible this Sunday.
On a side note, Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed - dealing with a left ankle injury - was the only player on the Ravens injury report.
