*We will have several staff members in attendance at the NFL Draft, as well as being in NYC by mid-week if you want or need to be contact, please feel free to provide us with a contact number, email, IM or any/all other ways to communicate with us on or before draft day, especially on Sunday afternoon in the later rounds and then leading to the all important 1-2 hours following the draft when PFA's are being contacted and signed... one of the available IM's for our staff will be draftjm13... as well as calling (504) 415.9979.

*For those who have not followed or received the reports during the previous three drafts... in between DAY ONE and DAY TWO, and then following the 7th round... you can send us your prospect/player information that will be immediately sent out to all 32 NFL Teams... the example method for this process will be as follows: (School), (Position), (Name), (HT, WT, workout results and your (agent) best contact info either phone or email)... last year alone over 70 of the profiles that were sent out between rounds 6, 7 and post-draft saw the players be drafted, signed or added to a team's rookie mini-camp.

*Any/all media requests for observations, player notes, draft pick reviews or profile/bio info on those players selected by your individual team can all be sent to [email protected]... please include your deadline or time frame, so they can all be addressed accordingly.

*An updated version of the "TEAM NEEDS" chart will appear in FRIDAY'S report... again SATURDAY after the first three rounds... SUNDAY AM before "Day Two" starts and finally post-draft in preparation for PFA and FA signings.

*Think that it is too early to get a jump start on the 2006 NFL Draft... well then you are looking to get left behind... our staff can help organize or contribute to your organization, franchise, player rep recruiting list or media coverage now so that you will be ahead of the curve when the new cycle of scouting starts later this spring... please contact our office over the next few weeks for more information.

*Since you can never have enough great information on each year's NFL DRAFT be sure to visit and purchase a copy of GMJR... the only hard-copy draft publication that is authored by a former NFL scout, Russ Lande, who has scouted in the league with both the Cleveland Browns and St. Louis Rams... a valued opinion and great friend to our staff, Russ' insight are valued by anyone who has ever read his material... he also has a very unique grading system for quarterbacks, which he learned while working with noted quarterback guru Mike White, a 17-year veteran of the NFL, who currently holds the title of Director of Football Administration with the Kansas City Chiefs... so visit www.gmjr.com/order_now.html for more information about obtaining this useful resource for your draft day enjoyment.

"WHAT'S BEING SAID":

NFL TEAMS:

ARIZONA CARDINALS have stated they plan to draft the best available player throughout the draft, and not just pay attention to "Need" areas... although most believe they will come out of the first day with a running back and cornerback.

ATLANTA FALCONS have been talking about a number of other positions, but many believe that they would take a long look if one of the top offensive tackles were to fall down into the later portion of round one.

DENVER BRONCOS have said they do not think they will be adding another quarterback, after adding two last year, during this year's draft... with the hopes that either Bradlee Van Pelt or Matt Mauck can challenge for the backup spot this season.

GREEN BAY PACKERS seem to be paying more attention to linebacker and safety over offensive line and quarterback.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS have long been thought to be considering a linebacker at the end of the first round, but don't be surprised if they opt for a wide receiver or defensive back based on mid-round depth at linebacker.

NY GIANTS will be working out free agent punter ANDY GROOM on Wednesday... the former Ohio State product has been receiving a lot of attention recently, as teams look to find a young punter to bring into training camp.

NY JETS have shown a lot of interest in adding either a tight end or defensive back early in the draft... names most mentioned include... Virginia tight end HEATH MILLER... Nebraska cornerback/return man FABIAN WASHINGTON... Clemson cornerback/return man JUSTIN MILLER... Oklahoma safety BRODNEY POOL.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS will be looking to add at least one if not a few offensive lineman during the draft... but will also be eyeing a number of PFA's at that position post-draft.

TENNESSEE TITANS have additional draft choices in rounds 3, 4 and 5... the first two are comp picks that cannot be traded, while the extra 5th rounder came in the trade that sent Carlos Hall to Kansas City... expect the Titans to be active during the mid-to-late rounds of the draft in order to turn their ten draft choices into 7 or 8 solid selections.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS who many have thought might look to possibly trade down from pick #9 came out and said they will not be dealing the choice, but that can call change come draft day.

PROSPECT NEWS:

Former OKLAHOMA cornerback MICHAEL HAWKINS has additional game film available through his agent, as there is a tape of the Dallas/New York (AFL) game from 2004 now available... he also had a private workout with Oakland earlier this week, running 4.34 in the 40.. 3.96 short shuttle... 6.84 three-cone... 37" vertical... and then did several 1-on-1 drills against a local area college wide receiver... please contact his agent for more information.

OKLAHOMA senior defensive end/linebacker DAN CODY is being rated as a mid-to-late first round pick on most teams' boards... look for team with multiple selections to possibly make move up in the first round to select him should a run on defensive linemen start earlier than expected.

OKLAHOMA STATE junior running back VERNAND MORENCY is being rated as mid-to-late second round pick, but there are few teams that like him much higher and few that have him a little lower (3rd)... his game tapes have helped increase his final grade since the Combine.

OREGON senior wide receiver MARCUS MAXWELL, who had some of the best non-Combine workout numbers, has drawn considerable attention over the past few weeks, which has now led some teams to feel he will get drafted in the late rounds... ran 4.42 in the 40 at 6032, 207 pounds... 4.42 short shuttle... 6.68 three-cone... 40.5" vertical... 10'9" broad jump... 10.74 60-yard... was not used as one of the team's primary receivers, as he caught 25 passes, including two for scores... scored 20 touchdowns in two seasons at junior college before heading to the Pac-10... big, wide receiver like this with impressive straight-line speed and leaping ability could turn out to be a late round gem.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN senior running back/cornerback T.J. ANDERSON (#28) has received additional interest from Green Bay, NY Giants and New England... ran between 4.45/4.50 in the 40... 1.57 10-yard... 4.25 short shuttle... 7.37 three-cone... 11.89 60-yard... 37" vertical... 10'2" broad jump... 15 reps of 225 pounds... weighed in at 5110, 188 pounds... also had a private workout for NY Giants and New England... was a little smaller, 5106, 184 pounds... ran 4.48/4.54... 4.19 short shuttle... 39.5" vertical... 9'8.5" broad jump... did back pedal drills; 4.44/4.47... 31 1/8" arms... 9" hands... has been evaluated mostly as a possible conversion to cornerback after playing running back most of his career.

LOUISVILLE senior quarterback STEFAN LEFORS had a private workout with Baltimore earlier this week... has also received additional attention from New England.

MIAMI junior wide receiver/return man ROSCOE PARRISH has made a few moves in the positive direction in recent weeks... as most are now mentioning him as being a early-to-mid second round choice... with the chance that his speed and return skills could earn him a late first round selection based on how the first round plays out and depending on whether certain teams move up or down.

MIAMI, OH senior tight end/basketball player DANNY HORACE will have a private workout on Wednesday afternoon with Washington... he has also received interest from Cincinnati, Cleveland, Green Bay, Indianapolis and Philadelphia... Cincinnati may try to setup a private workout on Thursday... our office was sent a copy of his spring game tape from last season, and will be reviewing it further this evening.

N.C. STATE senior safety TROY GRAHAM has drawn additional interest from Buffalo, Carolina, Miami and NY Giants since his impressive Pro Day results... ran between 4.53/4.54 (rubber track)... 4.33 short shuttle... 7.30 three-cone... 11.82 60-yard... 34" vertical... 10'4" broad jump... weighed in at 6021, 205 pounds.

MICHIGAN STATE senior tight end ERIC KNOTT has received additional interest from several teams who have reviewed his game film and background info... keep an eye on teams like Buffalo, Cleveland, Miami and Tennessee.

MURRAY STATE senior tight end JIMMY ST. LOUIS has received additional interest from New England and Tampa Bay in recent weeks.

NORTHERN ARIZONA senior running back/return man ROGER ROBINSON has received additional attention from Indianapolis and Philadelphia.

OREGON senior defensive lineman CHRIS SOLOMONA (#47) has drawn additional attention from 3-4 teams, as a late round prospect... ran 4.73/4.77 in the 40... 4.20 short shuttle... 7.37 three-cone... 33" vertical... 9'0" broad jump... 26 reps of 225 pounds... weighed in at 6045, 286 pounds... recorded 46 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five sacks, two pass breakups and two interceptions, both of which he returned for touchdowns... showed upside, as well as production in his first year as a starter... former JC All-American... solid athlete, especially for a full-sized defensive lineman... his best football could still be in front of him.

OREGON senior defensive tackle ROBBY VALENZUELA has received late-round to PFA grades from most teams... as he has the ability to contribute as a run stuffer in either a 1-or-2 gap scheme... ran 5.08/5.19 in the 40... 4.53 short shuttle... 7.73 three-cone... 28" vertical... 8'4" broad jump... 27 reps of 225 pounds... weighed in at 6010, 312 pounds... had 11 tackles for loss and 8 sacks from his interior position over the past two years... hard-working kid that comes from a solid background... plays with good leverage... has improved his quickness off the ball... valuable role player early in his career.

SAN DIEGO STATE senior offensive tackle MIKE KRACALIK has earned additional attention from teams looking for a long-range right tackle prospect... it has been noted to us that he has a 70" wingspan... weighed 6080, 339 pounds, but still managed to run between 5.23 and 5.38 in the 40... 4.64 short shuttle... 7.68 three-cone... 29.5" vertical... also did 20 reps of 225 pounds... played in the LVAAC, drew a lot of attention from scouts during the practices... small area player who could develop into a mauler type with improved strength... moves surprisingly well for his size... consistency and aggressiveness have improved each year... between 6-8 teams have been following up with him on a regular basis.

TULANE senior wide receiver ROYDELL WILLIAMS had a total of eight private visits, including Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Green Bay, Houston, Kansas City, NY Jets,  and Seattle... also did a private workout with the WR's coach for New England last weekend.

ALBANY, NY senior offensive lineman GEIR GUDMUNDSEN has drawn additional attention from Denver and NY Giants in recent days.

Former CENTRAL FLORIDA defensive end/linebacker RASHAD JEANTY has received additional attention from several teams... should he get selected in the late rounds his CFL rights (Edmonton) could be bought out by the team that selects him.

CENTRAL MICHIGAN senior tight end TORY HUMPHREY ran some of the fastest 40-times (4.47/4.52) and short shuttle times (3.98) of any player available at his position... he's also bulked up to the 250-pound mark, which has allowed him to increase his overall strength.

CENTRAL MISSOURI STATE senior cornerback JOHN MCPHERSON has drawn additional attention from a number of teams since his Pro Day and private workouts... there is some talk of him now being a late round guy on some boards if not a heavily interested PFA.

CINCINNATI senior linebacker JAMAR ENZOR has received additional interest from Carolina, NY Jets and Philadelphia in recent weeks.

CINCINNATI senior safety DOUG MONOGHAN has received additional interest from Pittsburgh in recent weeks.

FERRIS STATE, MI senior defensive tackle WHITNEY BELL has received additional interest from Detroit and St. Louis.

FRESNO STATE senior defensive tackle DONYELL BOOKER has received additional interest from several teams in recent weeks, including Houston and Oakland.

NORTHWESTERN STATE, LA senior fullback ISSA BANNA has received additional interest from Philadelphia... which means most of the NFC East has made calls to him in recent weeks, including Dallas and NY Giants.

SAN JOSE STATE senior defensive tackle EDDIE BROWN has drawn additional interest from teams... as the former JC All-American had a decent week at the East-West Shrine Game.

WILLIAM PENN, IA senior wide receiver EDWARDS SIMMS, who recently performed well at the pre-draft workout held by Washington, broke his school's decathlon record recently and qualified for the National tournament.

If there is not a center or offensive guard selected in the Top-10 draft choices on Saturday, it will mark the 8th straight year (1997) since one was taken that high in the draft, as the New Orleans Saints drafted Chris Naeole (OG) with the tenth overall selection in the 1997 NFL Draft... Chris Spencer (Ole Miss), Evan Mathis (Alabama), Elton Brown (Virginia) and David Baas (Michigan) will all vie for the spot of being the highest drafted interior lineman... BTW... Mathis trained with Chad Ikea at "PowerTrain" in Arizona.
